What exactly is the Mantis System?

The Mantis System is a central module, 3D printed and made in Spain, that fits on top of your existing Aero aerobars and joins both extensions into a single structure. Instead of two separate arms, you get a continuous central platform that:

• Reduces frontal area by bringing the hands together at the centre of the bike.
• Replicates the "mantis" position (hands high and together) that saves so many watts in the wind tunnel.
• Improves control by concentrating support at a single rigid point.
• Keeps the made-to-measure customisation that defines CarboXtrem.

Why a centralised position saves time

An aerodynamic position isn't just about getting your body lower, but about narrowing the profile the air meets head-on. When the hands and forearms come together at the centre, the rider's front closes up and the airflow finds less surface to push against. It's the difference between riding "wide" and riding "like an arrowhead".

Pros have known this for years: the trend in time trials is towards ever narrower positions with higher hands. The Mantis System gives you access to that setup without changing bike or handlebar, starting from the aerobars you already have.
