The profile is worked out so the air runs clean over your forearms, and the cabling goes inside so as not to break the flow.
Where your elbows rest
The TT doesn't take the small clip-on pad: it carries the large armrests, with far more contact area. Underneath runs the same printed lattice, denser under the elbow and more open at the edges, and you can see it along the edge of the part.
Spreading the weight over more surface is what lets you hold the position for three hours without your arms going numb. They're worked out from your weight and from what you actually load onto them in your real position.

No. The body is hand-laid carbon fibre, with the fibre orientation worked out to give precise torsional stiffness. 3D printing is kept for certain parts and for the support pads.
